No different other than 25 trillion dollars in debt.

I’m not going to go into everything but I will touch on one point. I live a few blocks away from a major University. There are tons of people here from Asia studying. There are about 1,300 people at the university that identify as Asian. They pay about three times the tuition as in-state people.

I have a buddy that works with them to sort out all the stuff they need to study here at the University. Applicants are down around 30% from Asian countries since the election.

It is around 50K per student a year that goes into our local economy from international students. This is like 20 million out of our local economy. Napkin math but this will be a problem. Keep in mind that is money coming from rich parents from overseas. And these kids generally spend way more than the 50K I pulled from the universities website. A lot of them have crazy cars.

And tourism is way down too. This is a problem. Stupid ass travel ban.

Ultra high prices due to rampant inflation.

Just consider the past 3 months and imagine another 45 months of the same or worse. The entire world stares stupefied at our conundrum, and holds its breath wondering how or IF we can wiggle out of the greatest crisis to hit the country since Valley Forge.

He won’t last 4 years.
He is the odd combination of Fascist and Anarchist. He is tearing apart the government. Should he serve his term, the government will be a wreckage. I can see circumstances arising leading to a Constitutional Convention.

So I hang out on a forum that is made for people wanting to install MacOS on generic computers running Windows.

Probably about 6 years ago a guy on the forum was pretty much asking if anyone wanted to be a pen pal. I said sure and gave him a link to my chatroom. All his English in the chat was translated through Google at first. Sadly his english is now better than mine.

We have spent hundreds of hours talking about Cyprus and the side controlled by Turkey. He lives there. And they are somewhat known for political turmoil.

But in the last coup there I posted this. I wonder when he will post the same asking about me.

Trump is dragging the office of President of the United States down to his level and these are very dispiriting days to live through. In four years’ time I hope America elects a man worthy of respect and that the previous four years will seem nothing more than a bad dream.

Few, if any, additional production jobs will return to the US. (That work does not exist any more.)
International trade will be reduced.
University fees for Americans will increase.
Fewer people will be on disability.
The “haves” will have more. The “have nots” will have less.
My 401k will be up by 15% from today.

I am mostly concerned about the social changes, which had already begun before he took office, but his administration is definitely stoking the flames. Destroying trust in the press, information, the internet and especially each other is not something that will just go back to normal after he’s gone.
I also fear that there will be war, or at the very least an increase in attacks on American soil in the coming years and I think that will further change our social climate.
On the bright side, I hope to see more Americans motivated to get involved in politics and to work toward the changes that we want to see. I also hope to see more people motivated to volunteer in order to bridge some of the gaps that are being created.

I’m thinking “Walking Dead.” But the zombies will be Republicans so deep in denial, that they aren’t alive.

Yes—and meh. Haven’t cared about playing Monopoly for decades.
