What would your personal hell be?

On the flip side, what is your personal heaven? Both custom made for you.

I’ll start. My personal hell is watching the old “the nature of things”, with only bird documentaries . My heaven is to have unlimited beef ribs and egg nog and have an affectionate girlfriend with a mini skirt and a pony tail.

Personal hell:.......I’ve no clue.

Personal heaven:Sitting by the river, while the sun is shining, and the wind is slowly blowing, and birds are singing from afar, and the water is slowly moving and making that lullaby-ish shhhhh sound. Nirvana.

Easy a life without Mrs Squeeky.

No pillows, hell. Pillows everywhere, heaven.

Televangelism and Hee-Haw would be pretty hellish.

Personal hell is easy. Having to live with people who are self-righteous or completely shallow or compulsive liars (like Trump).

There was an interesting take on Hell in the old Twilight Zone television show. A person who was a compulsive gambler spent the afterlife in a casino where he won every time. He loved it, at first.

Another interesting take on Hell is given in Sartre’s play, No exit, which gave a demonstration of his claim that “Hell is other people”. Three people are doomed to spend eternity together. They both torment one another yet need each other for affirmation. There is a neat twist at the end, which I will not give away.

Heaven is harder to imagine. One possible scenario would be the opposite of Sartre’s view of Hell – being in a situation where people provide each other with help and support in such a way that each person would be enabled to do things that could not be done alone, something like the way a lyricist and a composer combine their talents to write songs.
