Oh gosh, yes! Pretty much everything that I’m not. Crazy outgoing, fun, a little reckless, but not stupid, just a presence. I’ll have to think of specifics, but this was a good question.

Yes. He gave me a hug and I sat on his lap for picture at his wife’s insistence. It was great fun.

I played chess against a visiting grandmaster in university 1999 and we tied. Stale-mate. He didn’t talk much.

My ex had and has a terrific personality. I feel sick saying it but he oozes charisma and charm. He is also the most hysterically funny person I’ve ever known. And the most intelligent. He’s extremely talented and fearless. He jumped on a big tractor, liked it and bought it. He’s an incredible guitarist. He has a nice singing voice and recorded some records in the fifties. He has a Ph.d and a another sort of doctorate. He is 78 and still works in courtrooms as an expert witness. (forensic work)
But he has a dark side.

Myself.
Yep, I have the best personality of anyone I know and that’s a fact.
I am witty, humorous, friendly, outgoing, very diplomatic, easy to get along with, approachable, quite non-judgemental ( except for shitty personalities. lol ) and pretty charismatic in a genuine sort of way. I wish I could meet more people like me. haha

@Coloma you must be a very happy person to like yourself this much! Others must bore you to tears!

Coloma's avatar

@Aster haha, well, I’m not as happy as I once was but I still have that spark and yes, sadly, most people I know do bore me. It’s not their fault, just not a compatible blend of personality styles. I can get along with anybody but it’s always nice to meet others where there is a good blend of energies.
My daughter has a similar personality so she is my best friend these days in terms of enjoying some mutually rewarding engagement.

@Coloma “I feel pretty, oh so pretty, I feel pretty and witty and gay, And I pity any girl who isn’t me tonight.”

Allen Ginsberg at a reading of Howl at Trinity College in a 60 seat classroom. The whole group sat around a talk with poet for about an hour after the reading.

One of my hospice patients will be high on my list of amazing people until the day I die. He was so positive, kind, funny and had a twinkle in his eye no matter how bad things got. Always patient and upbeat. Truly an impressive personality. I miss him.

Lots of people on Fluther are great personalities. They have wit and aren’t afraid to give opinions, however unpopular it may sound. Their argument are always supported with credible logic and evidence. And most of all, they know that someone disagreeing with you doesn’t mean they hate you. I learned a lot from them and some of them are great friends I admire.

Some professors and teachers I had were (and still are) great people.
There are some other people I’ve met too.

He said a bit but talked mostly about what he’s done since with his foundation. Building schools and hospitals. The trash up at the climbing areas now. He kept saying that he was just a regular guy. He was the most genuinely humble guy. And his hand were huge! Like a massive meaty bear paw.

The people I’ve met who had big personalities didn’t brag on it. They just had them. My ex boss was one. VERY outgoing and gregarious. The first time I met her she charged right up in to my space and and said “Hi!!” I literally took a step back! She was great. Couldn’t spell worth a shit, not very smart, really, and a bit over confident, but mostly she was great.
