Have you tried using the iPhone "ask question" interface on your desktop?

… tho the topic tags aren’t showing up properly. They are there, but they are appearing on my screen as almost-invisible white text on the pale yellow background rather than their usual button format.

Desktop is working fine for me so I haven’t bothered with the other. But your question and topic tags are showing up correctly on my puter.

Yes I’m using it because I couldn’t ask from desk top mode. I don’t think enough people have heard about it though because question-asking has dropped so far down.

The tags are showing up properly now.
