Criminals and dictators tend not to publish reliable information on their assets. Neither do many of the world’s richest people.

Also, criminals and dictators have other assets in terms of loyal supporters, influence, power, military, etc. And foreign countries, especially semi-isolated dictatorships, often have rather different economies, exchange rates, etc.

I expect the richest also may tend to invest heavily in anonymity and in hiding their wealth. We wouldn’t even know who to research. But some known public (and/or Internet BS) data points of who knows what accuracy:

Hosni Mubarak (ousted Egyptian president) $70–700 billion
Muammar Gaddafi (dictator, dead) $200 billion
Bashar al-Assad (Syrian president) $122 billion
Bill Gates (CEO niceguy) $88 billion
Jeff Bezos (CEO egotist) $84 billion
Vladimir Putin (Russian PM) $70 billion
Ali Abdullah Saleh (former Yemeni president) $32 – 60 billion
Koch bros (figurehead scumbag government corrupters) $41 – 48 billion
Mikhail Prokhorov (Russian mafia) $18 billion
Rupert Murdoch (corporatocratic media monopolist) $14 billion
Dawood Ibrahim (Indian mafia) $6.7 billion
Edward Sil Gotierelli (Italian mafia) $5.5 billion
Giovanni Motisi (Italian mafia) $5.35 billion
John Difronzo (Italian/US mafia) $5.2 billion
Kim Jong-un (North Korean dictator) $5 billion
Semion Mogilevich (Ukrainian mafia) $5 billion
Matteo Messina Denaro (Italian mafia) $4.9 billion
Omar Trevino Morales (Mexican mafia) $4.75 billion
John Ericson Vargas Cardona (Colombian mafia) $4.7 billion
Ismael Zambada Garcia (Mexican mafia) $4.6 billion
Donald Trump (criminally awful figurehead POTUS) $3.5 billion
Igor Makarov (Russian mafia) $1.9 billion
Servando Gomez Martinez (Mexican mafia) $1.2 billion
Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo (President of Equatorial Guinea since 1979, accused cannibal) $500 million
Zine al Abidine Ben Ali (ousted President of Tunisia) $50 million

We must first agree on what is and is not a crime.
