It's hot outside! Who's up for a virtual ice cream social?

Asked by janbb (62859points) July 3rd, 2017

Pretty much all I want to eat when it’s hot is ice cream. Lately, I’ve been buying old fashioned ice cream sandwiches which are as good as they used to be. I also have black cherry, mint chocolate chip and butter pecan gelato in the fridge. What is your favorite ice cream indulgence? Describe in detail and let’s share.

Plain vanilla with chocolate syrup, caramel syrup, chocolate chips and sprinkles. In a big bowl.

At the fair, they have an old fashioned ice cream booth where they hand dip vanilla ice cream on sticks into melted chocolate, then roll it in chopped peanuts. Yum yum :P

My favorite is chocolate chip mint in a sugar cone.

I also like peach in a sugar cone.

Last but not least rum raisin.

And that is meant to say I like all kinds of ice-cream. It’s one of my addictions.

When I have Rocky Road I like to make it extra rocky with added chopped walnuts and mini marshmallows. Oooh mama! LOL

Ah man…I miss ice cream. As a diabetic I can’t really eat it unless it’s my only meal of the day.

But, I used to love good coffee ice cream with hot fudge, whip cream, and walnuts.

Also, good vanilla with peanut butter sauce, hot fudge, and whip cream is pretty great.

Or, chocolate chip cookie ice cream sandwiches. Mmmmmm.

Awww… that’s so sad for a man made of cookies :(

@cookieman: How about a low sugar or sugar free ice cream?

janbb's avatar

@cookieman That’s my favorite sundae too; coffee ice cream, hot fudge, walnuts, whipped cream and a cherry.

After this thread, I think my holiday celebration food will be composed entirely of various iterations of ice cream concoctions!

It’s not hot & it’s raining heavily, hold the ice cream…

janbb's avatar

@ucme I am holding the ice cream!

@mimishu1995: It is my cross to bear. Sadly. ::sniff::

@jca: Those usually contain alternative or fake sugars. I can’t have those either. They’re not on my diet and usually bother my tummy anyway.

@janbb: Birds of a feather my favorite penguin.

I’m plowing through a delicious watermelon right now. Watermelon and ice cream, could just about live on that menu in the summer. haha

I don’t eat a lot of ice cream but I do love a raspberry ripple. I like a cone and I like to push the ice cream down the cone as I go to make every cone bite have ice cream in it.

cookieman's avatar

^^ Yes! Essential life tip for sure. Nobody likes a hollow cone.

@chyna: I love when you get all food-pornographic.
