Put linux on it, make it a media server and backup server for other machines on your domestic LAN. For a lot of this it makes sense to leave the machine on 24×7 so this presumes it’s not so old it’s a power pig… or you could turn it on for big file xfer events like watching a movie or backing up your photos.

Does it actually work? If it does not work please send me a PM and I will see what can be done to make it work.

If it does work I suggest giving it to a poor kid or something.

What model Mac? The possibilities vary depending on the vintage.

And are you interested in tinkering yourself or are you looking for a good home or a little cash from eBay?

What do you mean can’t be fixed? Does it turn on? Maybe you could turn it into a tv.

If none of the ideas above sound good to you, you might check this out:

Since about 2003, the Environmental Protection Agency has become concerned over the tons of toxic electronics that were ending up in landfills, so they began keeping a list of national organizations that refurbish or cannibalize electronics, including old computers, and donate them to other orgs, schools and libraries nationally and around the world.

Here’s the EPA’s Electronics Reuse and Recycling Directory

All you have to do is choose one and pay the cost of shipping.
