How do I get back my Internet Exploprer on a Windows XP computer?

Asked by redsgirl4eva (262points) August 11th, 2008

I accidently deleted Internet Explorer off my emachine. The problem is that it was the only internet I had on it. There may be hope of finding it but I don’t know how to do it.I only deleted it out of my Control Panel. So please help me out here if it is possible.

Of course it’s possible, it just baffles me you’ve been able to get rid of it. I’ve never had success when I was on Windows.

You can download Internet Explorer 7 here.

I’d strongly suggest Firefox though.

Just open the application, you’ll be online ;)

go to control panel -> add remove programs -> Add/Remove Windows Components (on the side) and put a check in the box next to Internet Explorer and hit next. If it is already checked go to start -> run -> type “iexplore” to open internet explorer and download firefox to make your life better :).

I like the idea of “Explopler.”

You could try bring up “My Computer” or “My Documents” plug in an address and you should be able to download IE or Firefox

Or you could just try downloading Internet Explorer (or Firefox) on your laptop, then transferring it over to your computer using a USB stick or a CD.
Download Internet Explorer 7 here
Download Mozilla Firefox here
