Do you have Chrometophobia without realizing it?

Asked by LornaLove (10037points) August 22nd, 2017

Chrometophobia is a fear of money. Many have it and don’t realize it.
Here are some symptoms of the fear. I’ve only put some as there are so many.

1. Not sure how much you really earn.
2. Leave a spouse to manage money.
3. Have no financial goals
4. Become super frugal or overspend
5. Don’t feel you deserve money

The symptoms of fear of money include generalized anxiety symptoms, like dizziness, numbness and other anxiety like symptoms.

I thought Chrometophobia’s main symptom was that you used Firefox or Edge….

I have it, and realize it.

Nope, I manage and spend very well. What good is money if all you do is hoard it. Save some, spend some, give some away.

No, although 3 and 4 are true for me.

Yep. That’s me, 1—4. Sans anxiety. It wasn’t always that way, but I’m not going to spend one more day of what I’ve got left counting every penny and worrying about future financial security. What a bore and what a fucking waste of precious time at my age.

I absolutely feel I deserve more money but doesn’t mean I’ll get it. LOL

I don’t have this. If anyone does, and needs me to take over management of their money, I’m happy to do my civic duty and help them out. Just message me with your bank account details.

Have you guys heard that the lotto is up to 700 million? Obscene, just obscene amount of money. Gives me a headache just thinking about trying to manage that much, no thanks. 2 million yes, 700 million no way, a burden IMO.

Once sgain, any of you suffering from this debilitating condition are encouraged to send me those crippling toxins aggravating your cruel dysfunction. Allow the stanleybmanly foundation to lift those agonies associated with the “root of all evil” from your weary shoulders. Why should you suffer so?

ARE_you_kidding_me's avatar

I got a ticket, no fear here

@Earthbound_Misfit Do you happen to be a Nigerian prince?

No anxiety here. None of the description fits me except:
6. Think money as merely a tool.
7. Don’t think money is that important for a conflict.

Seriously, I hate every conflict started by money. I treat money like every possession I have, everyone respects each other and treats it equally. I don’t like to hear that a conflict starts because people have money problem.

@stanleybmanly Well if I ever win the lottery you can be my financial manager for a handsome percentage. Deal? LOL

@ARE_you_kidding_me Well if you win 700 mill. you damn well better host one hell of a Fluther bash. haha

I can be if that will help you decide I’ll be a better financial manager for your money than my competition, @stanleybmanly.
