Is my DL-624 D-Link Wireless Router kaput?

Asked by Bri_L (12219points) August 12th, 2008

all the indicator lights seem to function properly. but no hardwire info will come out of it. I have verified the connection. I am using it now. I can’t communicate with it by way of the computer because I can’t get any of the ports to work. the reset doesn’t appear to do anything either. Thank you in advance for your help.

I’ve had several d-link switches and one d-link router die on me. How old is it? I haven’t had good luck with d-link but for some reason I seem to keep buying them when they’re cheap.

Each time I had a device die, all of the connection lights seemed to keep working.

It’s probably dead but you can try to ping the device after a reset to see if it even shows up on the network. The default configuration probably puts the ip address of the router at 192.168.1.1

@bodyhead – Thanks much. that is what my brother, my bud and my dad said. They are all network support people to. I appreciate your input on your history. I will try one more time.

If not then its SHOPPING TIME!!!!
