[NSFW] Is there a list of reasons why a virgin had an easy and painless pap smear exam, without bleeding etc.?

I don’t get your goal here. It seems like you want us to say she isn’t a virgin. If that isn’t your goal or it is about you some clarity would be nice.

Her hymen is broken already or the space in her hymen was large enough that her hymen is still intact. The Pap smear stick is very narrow.

Why is a virgin having a Pap smear? Is she over 18?

Painless is good. I don’t see why that would be a problem.

@johnpowell

She is definitely a virgin.
But would the doctor be suspicious that everything went in without her being unconfortable or no hymen bleeding?

@JLeslie

She is twice the age.

But was wondering if even though she is a virgin, if the doctor would know why no bleeding from hymen. Nor any discomfort from the tooks inserted.

Horse back riding seems to be a possible cause off hymen breaking.
The one person’s pain is the other person’s itch.

From what I understood, the whole idea that a woman’s first time has to be painful, and she has to bleed, and her hymen will be intact, etc, is pretty much all myth—an impressively perpetuated one at that. (I can’t pretend to have much more than a pedestrian understanding of all of it, but the tidbits I have heard are quite fascinating… For example, women have, for centuries, devised ways to manufacture a guaranteed virginal “bleed” for wedding nights (in societies where it was/is paramount they do so), since biologically speaking, it’s not guaranteed at all.) Hymens break for any number of reasons, and some hymens are simply elastic enough to not break. The best way to know if a woman is a virgin is to ask her, and then take her word on it.

The doctor won’t be suspicious. The doctor won’t think anything is strange. Like @JLeslie said, painless is good. I would guess that indicates a combination of the patient being relaxed, and the doctor being good at what they do.

Here in Morocco, most of the younger ladies aren ot virgin anymore, despite their culture. What they/their mothers do… is get some chicken blood and spread it on the bed sheet to present to the audience awaiting outside the doors…. Such pressure!

The doctor knows how things work. That’s their job.

Not all hymens bleed, some because they are more flexible. Not all virgins have an intact hymen. Perhaps because they have broken it themselves with a tampon, a finger, an accident, or sports. Some hymens are not as closed or noticeable than others. Each one is different.

Being a virgin and having your hymen intact are two separate things. Cultures that stick with the hymen as an indicator of virginity are scary for women. It’s ridiculous.

If a doctor would be suspicious of something like that then that’s not any kind of doctor I’d want to have examine me.

I didn’t bleed and there wasn’t much pain my first time. The guy I was with found that “suspicious.” He was an asshole.

And a woman or a girl can have a pap smear for reasons other than being sexually active. When I was about 7 I developed a yeast infection. Don’t know how or why. Perhaps antibiotic related. I don’t remember the doctor’s visit, I just remember the itching.

JLeslie's avatar

^^You wouldn’t get a Pap smear for yeast. It would either be diagnosed just by looking or with a culture, or the doctor might go by what the mom described if it was following antibiotics, but it sounds like you were examined. Most doctors would not bother with a culture for that.

Dutchess_III's avatar

I’m sure I was examined. I’m saying it couldn’t have been too invasive or I would have remembered it, which I don’t. I remember the itching.

JLeslie's avatar

I’m just saying Pap smears have nothing to do with yeast.

Dutchess_III's avatar

I have to ask the OP….what, exactly, would a doctor be suspicious of?

And now I’m out. Hitting the road for our weekly road trip where we go dropping in on people!

Dutchess_III's avatar

I was just saying some women can have pap smears that are not related to being sexually active.

tranquilsea's avatar

Some women are BORN without hymens. And that has been horrible for some women in history.

Dutchess_III's avatar

@johnnyo They spread chicken blood on the sheets? Jesus. I’m pretty sure the bleeding, if there is any, would be that copious! God humans are stupid.

rebbel's avatar

@Dutchess_III Or desperate(ly fearful of the possible ramifications if the family/families find out she ‘wasn’t a virgin anymore’).
Maybe better to fool the stupid, than to be (publicly shamed.
Or worse.

I sympathize with her reasons. It sucks. But does the bed look like a blood bath? If so, someone doesn’t know what a virgin is. May it’s like the more blood the more of a virgin she was.
