Is www.mp3.com still a legit site?

It seems that the site hasn’t been updated since 2012. The last “free mp3 of the day” is dated Nov. 27, 2012.

If the owners of the site have abandoned the site, why do they still keep it running?

@2davidc8 Maybe they have some kind of ad revenue or similar that is still generating revenue?

Or maybe they are holding onto the domain name?

I’ve got no other good guesses though.
