In High school I wondered how one can accurately square time. Seeing that any movement alters space-time , and void the answer. I also want to know the equation for finding pi . I allways thought that is was 22/7. Finally I wondered if you can have an equation that cancels out infinites. I also wondering what the function of the quadratic equation is for?

The only Times Square I know of is in New York City.

22/7 about equals π Here’s clip for Pi and 22/7

You can’t cancel because you can’t touch it. It is an abstract!

Quadratic equation describes a curve.

Well, sure. When I was growing up we living in an upper middle class housing area, but it was on a cul de sac on a country road. Dirt road. There were only 4 other houses there when my Dad had our house built some wonderful property.
I did a lot of walking. I had friends who lived up the street, whose parents built houses there later. It had all been pasture.
There was a bend in the road where you are completely cut off from any houses at all. It’s a brief curve, but seems like forever when you’re on foot, in the dark, with deep scary woods on either side.
So I came around the curve and was delighted to see the porch light on on the front porch of my home, at the end of the cul de sac. The light had been out for several weeks.
I got in the house and said to Mom and Dad, “Thanks for changing the light bulb on the porch! That was really nice to see.”
They looked at each other and said, “I didn’t change the bulb, did you?” Neither one had changed it…...I went to check…and it was still burned out. It. Was. On. When I walked up that road. No way could I mistake my house, directly in front of me, for any other houses.
I can’t explain that.

After I brush hairs and pray to Stalin, I go to room son for goodnight. My son there on bed. “Father is monster under my bed” he says. Under bed I look. My son there under bed. “Father is monster on my bed” he says. I hit both son for insolence. Only capitalist imperialists afford two bed. Such is life in Soviet Russia.

Tropical_Willie's avatar

@Dutchess_III How close to St Andrew’s Episcopal Church? South Hila only goes from 800 to 1021.

Dutchess_III's avatar

Well, if that’s the church I’m thinking of the church is, OK, from the house on the cul de sac, walk up the road past the curve. Then you turn right and keep walking. I think the church is at the end of that road, about, gosh, ½ a mile?
8545 Hila….I can check with my sister but I grew up at that address….8545 Hila, Route 1, box 294. Want the phone number I grew up with too?! :D

there is memorial in te city of Moscow. this memorial is dedicated to glorious tank comander who singlehandly killed 55 kapitalist factory workers demanding one loaf of bread avery day. This was of 30 years ago. The tank comander died of malnutrition 10 years ago and his tank was turned into a memorial. It is said his spirit still resides in tank and everytime kapitalist passes, the tank fires a shot into the air.

I pass memorial everyday on the way to work at coal mine. One week ago I met new new worker on way to work. His name is Nikolai. He seemed very loyal kommunist and worked hard every day. But everytime we are about to pass the tank memorial he takes the street to right and says he has to bring something to his old, sick aunt. One day I got suspicious and followed him, but he never visited aunt!

One dark night I tell him line for vodka half as long as usually in my uncles store.

“Where?”, he asked

“Im going there anyway, just follow me.”, i replied

We could barely see anything, but being loyal soviet citizen I found way to the tank memorial where it fired a shot.

“KAPITALIST SCUM!” I screamed. When suddenly tank shell exploded and took my legs.

In hospital KGB awarded me the Order of Lenin for loyalty and told me Nikolai was shot for treason and tank was of disassembeled and melted for wasting ammunition, then shot me for not fullfilling todays coal quota

Such is life in Moscow

Ok. I found it! Grab that and look to the right. House is a quad level, but it looks like a story and a half from the front. It’s the one that has old white truck, or whatever, at then end of the drive way to the right.
I backed into my sister’s boyfriend’s car when he parked there. Twice.

Also brick mailbox.

I like this question. The vast majority of jellies will not believe me, so I’m going to be brief.

I have seen a meditator float in the air. I have had detailed things told me by psychics develop exactly as predicted. I have seen tarot cards reveal detailed information. I have known astrologers who successfully predicted exact events in my life.

All this is routine for me. It happens. It’s real.

I have had detailed precognitive dreams.
Two of my pregnancies, I knew THAT MOMENT I had conceived.

@RedDeerGuy1 There are many algorithms that calculate the value of pi but all are approximations. The strangest to my mind, calculates any digit of pi without calculating the preceding digits.

@Dutchess_III Thanks for your story about the house light but your request for a photograph could have been asked as a separate question.

@Hawaii_Jake and @Patty_Melt thank you for sharing your experiences.

My grandmother supposedly lived in a haunted house. It was a very old and drafty house. One day I was sitting across the table from my grandmother just talking when a chair behind her moved clear across the room, about 10 feet. It was not on wheels and made the noise as if someone was moving a chair without picking it up, just scooting it. I looked at grandma and she said “oh, it’s just the ghost”.

I mentioned this in a similar thread before. Guess I’ll repeat.

About 4 years ago, I was working on a tin roof (I do construction part time) on a house in downtown Charleston, on the peninsula. We were up about 4 stories, and the sky was clear blue. It was probably around 1pm, Decemberish…
At the time I was holding/anchoring a safety harness for a worker on a taller roof above me, so I was just standing there looking up for hours. I live near an airport, and airforce base, so there was plenty of air traffic to watch. Suddenly, I noticed an odd aircraft. It was silver, or very shinny. It reflected the Sun greatly. It was pretty much just a cylinder, or tube shape, with no wings or discernable cockpit or tail. It was at a much lower altitude than the other planes in the sky that day. It made no noise, and had no contrails, or exhaust trail. It covered the sky from east to west in about 9 seconds. I feel like I got a pretty good look at it. Just a shinning silver bar flying by…

I didn’t say anything about it at the moment. Later I told a coworker as we drove home. I thought about it all day. Replaying it over, and over. I just couldn’t convince myself that it was a plane. It didn’t seem to be caught in the wind, like maybe a weather balloon. It had a straight course. And appeared solid.

Eventually, I checked the Internet for photos of drones, and weather balloons. Nothing came close. Through my relentless investigation, I eventually stumbled upon a lot of UFOs that were a exact match. Almost all of the pictures were also in the daytime, which I thought was odd. I’m not saying that I saw a UFO,or aliens, but I saw something that I couldn’t explain. Like I said, the only thing I could compare it to were the “cigar,” or “cylinder” shaped UFOs on the net…

I’m very much a skeptic. But I just don’t know what I saw…

Long time ago, around when I was sixteen, seventeen years old maybe, I woke up in, what felt like was, the middle of the night.
I went down the stairs, into the living room, and looked in the direction of our brand spanking new video recorder.
It had red lights on the right side, that told the time.
It was 12:34…...........

Well, I have a ghost story! The house I bought in 1998 was built in 1912. We figure it was originally just a farm house. Sometimes, at night, when I was in bed, I’d hear what sounded like footsteps walking around upstairs. It was always about 4 a.m. and then I’d here the sound of someone coming down the stairs, then they’d just stop. The kids heard it too.
The first time it happened it was so loud and so clear I actually got up to check on the kids, who were all sleeping soundly.
We finally decided it was the ghost of the original farmer, coming down to milk his cows. I didn’t feel threatened and I didn’t mind. I just told him I hoped he liked what I’d done with the place.
Then, on day, my Mom was visiting. She was a terrible Christian. I told her about the farmer and, without warning, she thundered, “BE GONE IN THE NAME OF JESUS!! LEAVE THIS HOUSE IN THE NAME OF JESUS!!” I kind of got mad at her! I said, “He’s not hurting anything and it’s HIS house!!”
Never heard him again, until a couple of years ago. That time, anyway, it turns out it wasn’t him. It was an earthquake.

My first ever full beam boner, I thought my cock was broke & my nuts would be forever alone without shelter or shade.
Then I cracked one off & all was well again.

@chyna, that is when I would have said, “Gee I love ya Gramma, but I don’t think I’ll be back.”

I went on a stroll through the woods, I just had to get out, where I saw a piece of wood that looked holy.
So I put it in my pocket, took it back home, and there I carved a God from it.

Then I put my God on a shelf, where he would have a nice view of the world.
And as long as he does not promise what he can not keep, I have to say, that this God is pretty swell.
Though others claim this to be abnormal, I have a God on my shelf.

And soon after, miracles began to occur. I became ingredibly rich, and even more incredibly pretty.
I made the lame run, and the blind see, and of course I could also walk on water.

Now I had everything, fame, fortune and power, but you know how these things end, I thought to myself.
So I took him, some time in the night, and brought him back into the woods.

I put a God on my shelf, I would never have thought that I would like him that much.
And as long as he was there, he really was my hero, I thought him to be the best God in the world.
Other people have books, for me that would be to banal.
I had a God with me on my shelf.
