Are there any artists here (of any experience level) that want to share their artwork?

Here are a few things I’ve been working on in my Drawing 1 class.

I need to work on my proportions…

Nice job..). Tiger is looking weak to me or young may be..)

rockfan's avatar

@imrainmaker I’m not sure what you mean

What I meant was tiger drawn by you looked bit thin to me. That’s why I was wondering if it was weak or may be not fully grown.

I like your work!! Especially the robot drawing.

My avatar is a digital painting that I did (a self-portrait). I think I have a link to the full size version in my profile too. I normally don’t feel satisfied with anything I draw but this is one of the rare ones I’m happy with.

Yeah.. I second that about robot!! It’s really good..)

Well, they are not drawings, but this is my stuff from july.

@ragingloli: Your photos? Nice composition. I especially like the one with the wood stove. The one that’s not a photo—what is it?

@rockfan: Good work. You used photographs as references, right?—except for the robot, which I assume you imagined.

If I can figure out how to get back into my account, I’ll post a link to some of my work from my portrait class.

@Jeruba None of those are photos. It is all CG.

Yep, the dog is a drawing of my own beagle, Lexi. But the robot drawing is of The Iron Giant, one of my all-time favorite animated movies.

This very touching story came across my FB feed last year, about a beautiful young lady who had cancer, and who had lost all of her hair just before her HS graduation. Her mother is an artist and she did this. She became instantly famous. She got calls from People Magazine, Huffington post, the Today’s Show, Cosmo, Allure. K State may have offered her a scholarship!
I thought it was all so cool. Then my daughter called me, asked me if I recall that picture. I said, “Yes.”
She said that was a friend of hers! She gave me her name and I went looking…turns out I already had her on my Friends List. She is AMAZINGLY talented.

I like the drawings. I love black, and white. Color can be fun, and beautiful, but it’s kind of like an electric guitar, versus an acoustic guitar.

I haven’t drawn in years. Most of my supplies were destroyed in my second flood, and I haven’t replaced them. I think I still have my Prisma Color Pencils, somewhere…

My mom was an artist. I liked watching her work. I have 4 of her originals. Two are water color, the other two are acrylic.
One of them is really big and it really disturbed me so I gave it to my son.
I have a bunch of smaller pen and ink drawings around here too.

My Mom painted for a few years. Mostly paintings of pictures we took, when we traveled/lived in Europe. They weren’t amazing. But. They looked like the pictures. Oil based. And on canvas.

I noticed that she threw them away one day. I grabbed the ones that weren’t destroyed, and kept them for years. Sigh. With all my floods, and storms, I barely have anything left….

I still play guitar. I get my artistic outlet fix, through that…
