Is there a site where you can whistle or hum or sing a tune and have it identified?

Shazam though I think it’s only available as an Android or iPhone app, not a web site.

It’s also in the Windows store for PCs but when you click on Get the App it says “Shazam is currently no available”

I use Sound Hound.

That’s funny – I’m looking for the same thing! I heard a very familiar classical piece on the radio and can’t place it. I think it may be by Tchaikovsky.

I believe midomi.com serves this purpose. You need to have a microphone setup with your computer. It runs on flash so you can’t use your iphone or tablet.

If you can figure out the first few notes, musicpedia has a digital keyboard you can use.

Thanks everyone, especially @AshlynM Midomi seems the best and identifies popular tunes when I whistle them which is what I am looking for but it seems to have a limited database for more obscure pieces of music.
