Anyone been treated for BPH here?

I’m suffering from Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (enlarged prostate, non-cancerous) and I’m going to need treatment at some point – probably soon. I’ve heard about a lot of treatment options, from drugs like Flomax, alpha blockers, and conventional and laser surgery. Although I’ve read a lot about these things, I’ve only talked to a few people who have been treated for this very common condition (why are men so skittish about discussing these things?).

Anybody here being treated with the pills, or has been through the surgery? How were the results? Side effects? Regrets?
