Omar stated why he attack the Pulse Nightclub, right? He was doing it because he wanted the US to stop slaughtering civilians in the middle east. Why the Pulse nightclub specifically? Convenience? Location? He had been scoping out other venues for some time.

Note: The motivation does not appear to be an anti-LGTBQ thing, like the corporate media portrayed.

@thisismyusername said it all nothing to add, except the guy was a total nut job as well.

@thisismyusername I’m not certain the anti-LGTBQ thing was not a part of it. He was certainly upset about US airstrikes in Syria and he stated he was in cahoots with ISIS. But he made the statement that real Muslims will never accept the filthy ways of the West. That, to me, would indicate that his Islamic beliefs and something they would consider “filthy” played a part. I’m suspecting that he was going to do something violent, but chose the Pulse due to its association with gays. Sort of two birds with one stone…terrorist attack on US soil and an attack on homosexuals that offend Allah.

Are you asking why we think he did it or whether or not we believe he did it because that is the official story?

I don’t know why he shotup the gay nightclub and as far as I can remember the media never reported any definite reason. There was plenty speculation but nothing concrete.

@rojo

I am asking why people believe he did it.
The media did a great job of pushing the idea that he did it specifically because it was an LGBT club.
But when one listens to the 911 call from Mateen, or the statements made in court by terrorists who were caught, they all say they are doing it because of what we are doing in the Middle East.

I believe this is an important detail to understand that this may be the leading cause of terrorism and we have been ignoring that for the past 20+ years.
