The action around here today was all about the March for Our Lives.

I must say I’m surprised by the responses on this thread.

I have heard of it before but did not know it was today. Hasn’t gotten a lot of play here this year.

I fell asleep. With the lights out however. So yes.

I try to make my way through my nightly routine by candlelight at least once or twice a month. But that is more for my own sanity than for environmental activism. Same reason I half wish I were Jewish and observing the sabbath every week. Although I fully support environmental activism in all forms. Just that an hour a year is a stunt and seems to fall into the ‘slacktivism’ category more than sincere activism. Although every little bit is at least something.

I just wish I could see more of the cosmos on a clear night. The light pollution is maddening. How did we ever lose our priorities so much as we have?

^ As you mentioned every right step we take is important. Don’t you think if this is followed around the globe will have huge impact? And why stop for every year..It can be done every month if people are serious about it.
