Tips for a Military Board Interview...can anyone give me some tips?

Asked by RandomMrdan (7436points) August 16th, 2008

I’ve had many interviews, and I’ve always felt that I’ve done well in my interviews…This would be my first Board Interview with the military.

So far what I’ve done to prepare is to get my dress blues in order, made sure everything was tip top and pressed.

I’ve started making a list of questions I might expect from the board, and answers so I can have them fresh in my memory to not stutter around if a tough question were to hit me…

Some things that have me a bit concerned would be, the actual process of entering the room…I’m told to make my appropriate way to the center of the room, go to attention, salute any officer that would be on the board, and give a reporting statement. (not sure if I would still salute without an officer on the board…but I think an officer will be). Also, while leaving the room, should I make some sort of request to leave, and go to attention as well?

Can anyone help me think of more questions that they would probably ask me, and something I should be prepared for?
