Good free windows video editing software?

I am new to this type of stuff and I don’t know what type to use please help.

Windows movie maker comes preinstalled. Go to ‘Start’ then ‘Accessories’ and you should see it.

I have one but it always messes up my settings on my computer so I was wondering if there are other ones I already have Windows Mover Player.
