Why is there cheese in Yan Yan?

Asked by shockvalue (5800points) August 18th, 2008

I was just looking at the ingredients in my delicious YanYan choco-stick treat (it’s like pocky, but you dip it yourself) and I saw cheddar cheese in the ingredient list. can someone explain to me why and where the cheese exists?

An accented flavor. There’s coconut in plenty of food that doesn’t taste like coconut.

What the heck? I thought I was safe. I’m allergic to cheese. I love Yan Yan (grew up in Singapore, where Yan Yan abounded).

I guess I can add this to my list of “culprits behind mysterious allergic reactions.” Maybe someday my list will be complete enough that the mystery reactions will stop.

It’s like when you buy apple juice and the label says May Contain Pears, Pineapples, Strawberries, Rainbows, Or Puppies.

Just some random stuff that makes things ‘better’. Hmpf.
