What would you do if you were threatened online?

Someone just sent me an email telling me to give up my username on a social networking site. They said if I don’t do so, my friends will be ‘messed with online’. Three of my best friends’ names and addresses were included, as well as some old passwords of mine.

I’m concerned that giving in to the demand will make me an obvious target for more threats.
