“The fuck…”

Impossible.
Humans are not smart enough to learn our language.

But really though.
Animals are talking to you all the time.
It is you who is not smart enough to understand them.
But arrogant enough to believe that animals are too dumb to communicate.

I’d stop doing just about anything else and talk to them as much as possible.

Put it on Youtube!!

Aren’t you our pet loli?

My reaction would be to immediately find a lawyer to establish my exclusive ownership, slap a paw print on an exclusive contract of representation then insure the golden goose for several million dollars. I would then hide in the house for a day or 2 to weigh the options.

On second thought, a whole lot would depend on what the miracle creature had to say. After all no one would be too shocked if a parrot screeched out a word or two.

Oh but he already does, why just this past week he looked chef right in the eye & told him in no uncertain terms…you sir are fired”
That’s what happens when you serve him dried food.

I have 2 dogs & a cat & all 3 talk to me daily. Only problem is that I don’t understand what it is they’re telling me!!! I had one cat who loved her milk & she did manage to adjust her meow to sound just like “milk”. She’d walk up & rub against my leg meowing “milk”. Then she’d beat me to the refrigerator to wait for her fix!!!

@LadyMarissa My cats communicate and talk to me frequently, and I think I usually get what they mean, but sometimes it seems to be “I’m bored and want excitement!” or something.

I took the question as meaning if they could communicate in some extraordinarily clear & human-like informational language sort of way.

imrainmaker's avatar

^Yes..of course. That’s the question.

@stanleybmanly Yeah, if your dog was saying things like,” my human farts really bad, you should see him naked, on second thought, you shouldn’t, he really needs to shave those nose hairs”, you might want to keep him off of TV.

I would be vey surprised. And full of questions.

A female friend of mine once said “if that cat could talk, I’d kill her.” Obviously hinting at the types of things that only we or our pets see….

kritiper's avatar

Keep the pet and deal with possible bribery, or kill it? That is the question!

seawulf575's avatar

Start?!? Doesn’t everybody’s pet talk to them?

Dutchess_III's avatar

Yes, but I think he meant in a literal Mr. Doolittle kind of way.

Kardamom's avatar

I might be surprised that they don’t speak with the same voice that I have given them.

I’ve always talked to my animals, and the ones I babysit, and have conversations. They all have different voices (although I am the one giving the actual voice).
