What is your perfect movie (see details)?

Asked by Caravanfan (13526points) August 5th, 2018

I don’t mean your FAVORITE movie.

I am defining a perfect movie as a movie with a script that is perfect the way it is. There are no unnecessary words and nothing left out. Every shot adds to the story. Every edit adds to the story.

Examples of a perfect movie, IMO
Citizen Kane
Witness
Alien
Chinatown
Mad Max Fury Road
The Fall
Russian Ark
Gallipoli

@filmfann Which Maltese Falcon? The 1941 version with Bogart? (You’re right, by the way. That’s another perfect movie)

Victoria a movie shot in one take, no edits, exciting, edgy, complete, a good story.

A Hard Day’s Night

Love Actually

Star Wars episode IV

So I guess the perfect movie has to have a story that had a beginning, middle, and end that makes sense to me.

It also has to be somewhat funny, and if there is a cute musical segment all the better. And some cute guys helps.
