Ecstasy absorption?

Asked by kaybaby (7points) August 25th, 2018

If I handed someone a ecstasy pill. Will it enter my system just through pore absorption? I had it in my hand 1min the max maybe 2mins.

A single pill held for no more than two minutes is unlikely to have any effect on a medically normal person. In the absence of a delivery system designed to promote percutaneous absorption (such as a nicotine patch), a drug typically has to be handled frequently, for an extended period of time, and/or in large quantities for it to enter your system in any significant way via the skin. Furthermore, the palm has one of the slowest rates of absorption relative to your body.

I’ve NEVER tried ecstasy so I don’t know the definitive answer!!! I would say that in theory, YES it is possible; but, did it actually happen…I don’t know for sure!!!

Various chemicals can be absorbed through the skin. I know contact with penicillin can cause reaction to someone who is allergic to it. Even a nurse opening the package containing the pill may react to particles of drug on package.

Don’t take any chances.
Obviously, you should not have handled it in the first place. Don’t do it again.

I know your question is about an ecstasy pill, but with street drugs you never really know what kind of source it came from. What I’m trying to say, is what you think you held for a few moments could have been from a bad batch, or worse.

I have seen times in my life when people thought they bought coke, and died, because it was household toxins with no coke in it at all. People have sold yard grass, and various wild growing plants as marijuana, and yes, lots of people are dumb enough to fall for it.

Just stay away from that stuff from now on.
Please.

Like Patty said, unless you made it, you really don’t know what it was….
