Well, do you think Mueller will come out tomorrow with his findings, or go quiet until after the midterms?

Just wondering on your thoughts about this?

I think I’m not going to speculate. It’s not a game. Mueller speaks through court proceedings, not leaks and rumors and Twitter. He got another guilty plea today, from Sam Pattenhttps://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2018–08-31/manafort-associate-sam-patten-is-charged-with-fara-violation, who worked with Manafort on the Russian-allied campaigns in Ukraine.

Somewhere in the middle. I doubt he will wait until after November.

I just wonder if the people that keep chanting” Lock her up” will switch to “lock him up” when this all comes out.

Dutchess_III's avatar

I doubt it @SQUEEKY2. They’ll just double down on her emails.

Why would he wait until after midterms?

SQUEEKY2's avatar

I was just thinking he might wait and see how the midterms play out before he drops his bombshell.

Dutchess_III's avatar

Or the people who are still not sure if they’re going to vote or not could get a fire lit under their butts when he drops the bombshell.

If nothing else, Mueller’s investigation has been absolutely leakproof. In view of the indictments and convictions thus far, I think it inconceivable that Trump might emerge from the process with a clean slate. Mueller is evidently immune to being rushed, but there will be accusations of political motivations against him regardless of the results or the timing of their release.

I don’t see why he should do either one. He’s not operating according to a timetable that serves political interests. I choose to believe that, at any rate.

I understand Rudy Giuliani predicted the investigation would end tomorrow.
Wrong again.

“The Force is strong with this one.” I don’t think he’ll wait.

Well I hope this totally takes down Trump, and his Kingpins.
The way he has treated the US’s allies especially Canada I want this Fuckhead out of there before he does any more damage.

Dutchess_III's avatar

We can only hope, @SQUEEKY2.

I wonder what makes us think he will stop doing damage once he’s out of the Oval Office. Remember that media empire he was going to build if he lost the election?

And how about the fact that right now he has some actual advisors around him, for whatever good they may do? Never mind the Twitter account, which isn’t going to go silent. Do you think his influence over his rage-aholic devotees is likely to diminish? Or—depending on how he departs—is it just going to get worse?

Being the president who follows him, no matter who it is, won’t be an enviable fate.

Letting him go quietly and in the natural course of things might be the best we can hope for. As for damage, honestly, I think it will be at least a century before our country can recover its balance. And if certain forces have their way while we’re so vulnerable, there may never be a recovery.

SQUEEKY2's avatar

Scary, but I think what you are saying has an air of real truth to it @Jeruba .

A lot depends on what happens this November. But even if every single Trumpist loses his or her race, we’re not out of trouble.

@SQUEEKY2, would you guys consider invading and annexing about 50 provinces?

SQUEEKY2's avatar

God I hope it doesn’t come to that,LOL.
Lets hope November kicks the shit out of the rep/cons, and gets Trump on the way out of office.
For both our countries sake.

LadyMarissa's avatar

I’m willing to pass on the free healthcare IF you can get us annexed!!!

Dutchess_III's avatar

No…the annex has to include the health care or we will take our annex and go home.
