Any artists here (of any experience level) that want to share their artwork?

Asked by rockfan (14627points) September 3rd, 2018 from iPhone

Here’s some fan art I finished last week, presents for my young cousin who loves Marvel.

Judging from the comments on IMGUR, I’ll probably just go with the Doctor Strange one, considering how many people think Captain America looks like Putin

^Thats what I was gonna ask!! Great work both of you:) I liked sunflower pics too..)

Not an architect, no.
I just make the pictures for them, based on their blueprints.
And frankly, based on the dreary and awful concrete boxes they “design” again and again, I would not want to be an architect.
Really, only a handful of architects ever get to design something special. The other 99% are forced to pump out cheap dreck for most of their careers.

And I’m always a fan of blondes work!

Are you working off an existing image? Which image were you working off of for Captain America?

I think it might be helpful to set the image to grayscale before drawing from it.

Maybe working from a color image to monochromatic is trickier to maintain the lighting quality?

In the original image, the lighting is more dramatic. Bright along the front of his face. And casting his cheekbones in shadow.

In your drawing, the overall lighting is more even. I think that is making the shading on the cheekbones much more pronounced?

Hope that makes sense?

Overall, nice work.
I think your nephew will love it!
