I have set my relationship status on my Facebook profile to "Only Me", can someone still see the relationship status on my S.O.'s profile?

Asked by jane_doe (4points) September 4th, 2018

I do not know if my family can see it on my boyfriend’s profile if they were to look him up. They are not friends with him on there, and I believe he only has his pictures and the basic “about me” section public. Would it show up as “In a relationship”, but not with who? What would friends see?

If it’s that big of a concern, have your S/O leave it blank. Anything could happen on Facebook.

Yep, and they can-and do- change their privacy policies and functions without warning.

Profile settings on your FB page have no impact on his page.

Yes, if he puts “in relationship with . . . ”, people will be able to see ”. . .” i.e. your name.

Yes, if he has his settings to public, anyone can see it.
