I am home sick and kind of want to watch a movie but don’t want to have to go anywhere.

thanks for that site, Sue, i’ll give it to my girlfriend that should keep her busy and make her stop calling me all the time, argh!

Yes, there are plenty of places to watch movies online for free. I would love to tell you about them, but publishing links to these sites would draw mega attention to them.

Google the movie you want to see followed by ‘watch free online’. This will usually work. Of course, I’m not encouraging you to do so…

Oh crap. I tried to edit myself but I was too late. Sorry, in a moment of ditz I posted a porn site for giggles. sorry. shouldn’t have done it. flag me. Flag me. Can I flag myself? Hey. You can flag yourself.

wilhel1812's avatar

We didn’t see it ;)

Ahh…wrestle…maybe there was nothing. Maybe there was something. Titillating, isn’t it?

Hulu is only for the US and that makes me annoyed by it. If you don’t care about legality, that you can easily find most any movie in dvd quality by torrents (usually private trackers but torrents nonetheless).

You can get most films at The Piratebay

I recently saw a neat site that had a list of great movies available to the public. Historical, pbs, etc. I don’t know if that is what your looking for. I will find it.

@trumi
THANKS!!! for the link. I have never heard of that….
Why do these shows allow themselves to be posted on to this site? Trying to get more fans, I suppose? It just seems weird that it is free.

Bri_L's avatar

I think Hulu was a response to iTunes somehow. I am not sure.

trumi's avatar

Hulu is linked to iTunes, in that you can buy most of the stuff on iTunes.

My theory is that NBC and their affiliates knew that if you want to watch a video on the internet you can find it, so they may as well capitalize on it.

They make bunches of money on the advertising, I’m sure.

Bri_L's avatar

Ah, thats it.

As always, trumi shows us the way.

Sorry if I seem like a know-it-all :(

But glad I could help!

wrestlemaniac's avatar

no that’s a good thing, thanks.

@ Trumi – No, no, no. No know it all. Very helpful. I didn’t mean to give you that impression. I was sincere. You provide great info.

a few movies, but mostly free tv: veoh, tidaltv, joost and miro.

There’s always the Internet archive (could someone else link? I’m on iPhone) if you want free, legal entertainment. Otherwise I suppose it’s a question if ethics and I’m a bit if a prude when it comes to piracy…

you guys are amateurs, use Surfthechannel.com or cough up some dough and join newsgroups

What are “torrents”? Definition, anyone?

I checked out Hulu. It shows stuff w/ 30 second commercial breaks thru the video…..

El_Cadejo's avatar
