Ego maniacs have to feed constantly, and his loyal base love his BBQ bullshit on a bun they can’t get enough of them.

He does feed his ego with pep rallies and stokes his deplorables and at the same time, by exaggerating the attendance and emphasizing his hot button topics he keeps the rest of the Republican party running scared to confront him.
It keeps his base hooked in and fired up. Good strategy for a dictator.
I honestly think he is too stupid to think up an actual strategy. He just goes out and vomits all over the stage and the crowds cheer.
Savvy politics. He’s announcing that he will be on the 2020 ticket for sure and is endorsing local Rep candidates for office prior to November.
I’m telling you, the man is not stupid and I think it’s a mistake to underestimate him- again, even if you don’t like him.

Meanwhile, you are all focused on his tantrum de jour, while the Energy, Commerce, and Agriculture Depts. are gutted and decades of risk prevention are thrown out the window.

Here we go again. We KNOW that that is happening, and our being “distracted” has nothing to do with it. I’d say it’s standard fair for a sitting president. Most of them for the past 50+ years have done a lot of campaigning, especially during midterms.

But you are right about me….I don’t see a lot of difference. They go on tour, make speeches to stir up their supporters (or the supporters of those that for whom they are speaking), and try to bring in monetary support. Did I miss something? The problem with all the cries of racism is that it is generically applied. All Trump Supporters Are Racists!...that sort of thing. The problem is that (a) it isn’t true and (b) it doesn’t define what a Trump Supporter is. So I would suggest that to avoid more divisiveness, the left drop the racist label. They have over used it and it has become a sad joke.

I was immediately told not to be ridiculous and you said I had my deflection shields up. When I pressed the questioner on what his question mean and explained what I thought it meant, it turns out he really didn’t have a question…he just wanted Trump bashing. But you jumped right on to “deflection” when I answered the question that was asked. So now you claim I am the bad guy because you decided you didn’t like my first answer? And you wonder why I feel like people attack me? Get a mirror.
So comparing is a fair answer, so when someone asks Why did Trump do Blank, and you come back with well why did Clinton do blank, that is a fair answer to the posters question?

If abortion had been illegal in 1979 I would have found a way, any way.
I was listening to a program on NPR, about 3 months ago. It was focused on a female politician, in Brazil. I think it was Brazil… Anyways, abortions were illegal in that country. She said that there were over 500,000 illegal abortions performed each year. She publicly announced a specific drug, that would result in a miscarriage. It isn’t a drug for that, but it is sold in large numbers, in theory because it is used as a form of abortion.
When abortions are illegal, it’s far worse for society. Women, as is often the case, are the primary victims. Many children survive illegal abortion attempts, but suffer terrible defects.
So. In short. If you support making abortions illegal, you support women’s suffering. It’s really that simple.
Think about that number. 500,000/year. That’s just one country. It doesn’t take a genius, to assume there are exponentially more, throughout the world.
Anyone under the assumption that making something illegal stops it, is just not connected to reality…
