I want to lose weight but i can't stop eating, help?

i tried talking to my doctor, drinking stuff, taking pills, i’m mortally afraid of getting fat and crushing my dreams, but i can’t stop eating, i need to eat i feel an irresistible urge to eat i must, but i want to control it, any advice from anyone.
