Does Nancy Pelosi "deserve" to be Speaker of the House?

2) can she unify the democrats against pressure from the other party and the president?

Those are the only criteria that matter. “Deserve” has nothing to do with it.

Yes she does. We want to empower women and when they empower themselves it seems we want to take them down when they fight tough like guys.

I heard this morning that she plans to lead for a while since there are many unexperienced new Congresspeople and then someone else will take over. Not getting my knickers in a twist over it at this point in any case; I’m ready to rest a bit.

No, definitely not her, she did a press conference today bigging up how democrats now need to work together after retaking control of the house.
Speaking of press conferences, Trump just got through one that lasted an hour & a half, an extraordinary & hilarious spectacle, literally waded in to a guy from CNN :D

Sure she does. She was extremely effective the last time she was Speaker. Trump wants her because he can use her as a political foil.

Pelosi is an extremely able and saavy politician, and knows how to manipulate a difficult political landscape.

Fuck no. The only leadership skills that Pelosi has is the ability to sell out the people to big business and donors. Tulsi Gabbard would be 1000% better.
