Have you ever looked back on your questions and answers and thought, I can’t believe I wrote that?

Asked by AshlynM (10684points) November 8th, 2018

Whether it was good or bad? Maybe you cringed at some of your answers and wished you could take it back?

Or maybe you thought, wow, that was a really good answer I gave.

Or ask a question then realized you asked that exact same question, with the exact same wording, 5 years ago! That always makes me go “Hmmmm. How would someone else have phrased this question?”

I don’t think I have, but I have gone back to questions and answers which had stupid spellcheck word substitutions which I can’t believe I missed during the time I could have edited.

I just cringed at the computer math answer I wrote in the question below… one of those dummy, you knew that.

I thought I was correcting another user on some math, but it turned out the simian sage was the one who was correct.

Thanks to some users who might think that math is a matter of opinion or just liked how well I worded my erroneous response, my buffoonery was rewarded with 2 GA’s! ;-p

No, not really. I’m pretty consistent in how I answer. I’ve even answered similar questions from years apart, by different users, and gave an almost identical answer.

OK, this time is just tragic. It said what I typed when I hit the answer button. It had to scramble after I clicked.

Yes. I mostly regret my comments that involve religion. I am passionately opposed to all organized religion. But, I know how important it is to theists. I often will regret being so harsh on them…
