Which movie is it that you can't help watching repeatedly?

Asked by mazingerz88 (28812points) November 28th, 2018

Just glad I bought the 2010 Polanski film “The Ghost Writer” via Amazon streaming, otherwise I would have wasted money renting to see it more than just…several times.

If you have one film that you have been watching over and over again recently or sometime in the past ( days or weeks in between but regularly ) what is it about the movie that compels you to binge?

Polanski’s The Ghost Writer never fails to enthrall with each viewing. The man’s a filmmaking master. ( and deplorable pedophile as well I know )

I love romantic movies & I loved Patrick Swayze; so my go to feel good movie is Dirty Dancing. I don’t watch every week & sometimes I might go months between viewings. Yet, when down & depressed, I end up having my fantasy night with Pat!!!

It’s strange, the movies that I binge are ones that I think are very mediocre. I watch the live action Transformers whenever it’s on TV and I enjoy making fun of it, but I still like some of the action sequences. It’s hard for me to rewatch movies that I think are emotionally powerful, it gets exhausting. Other movies I watch repeatedly are:

Legally Blonde
Meet the Parents
Dodgeball
Casper
Jumanji
Elf
Cats & Dogs
The Grinch (2000)
Scooby-Doo (2003)
