Please can you suggest a good free book on my kobo from 2014?

Asked by RedDeerGuy1 (24463points) December 11th, 2018

Or a paid book if it is worth it. From my topics or from what you know of me?

A great thing about the Kobo (and maybe all non-Kindle ereaders) over the Kindle is that you can load epub books on it, and millions of free epubs are available.

There won’t be the latest best-sellers, but the classics are no longer copyrighted, so Twain, Austen, Robert Louis Stevenson are a few examples. White Fang is a good Canadian story if you haven’t read it before.

Your library might lend ebooks, and that would include best-sellers.

A few sources I have used for free ebooks:

Google Play Books

Open Library

Project Gutenberg

@Call_Me_Jay I downloaded Mark Twain’s book on Joan of Ark and The complete works of Friedrich Nietzsche : the first complete and authorized English translation both for free. Thanks.

@Call_Me_Jay The Mark Twain books don’t download either.

I don’t know how it is in Canada; but, living in the US, my local library will allow me to access many eBooks from their library of eBooks. The drawback is that you only have access for 30 days & it once again is unavailable. Since you’ve indicated your desire to binge read, 30 days would give you time to complete many books!!!
