Will you play the guess which actor or actress was in these movies?

Asked by mazingerz88 (28812points) December 30th, 2018 from iPhone

You’re here so it’s a yes. Thank you!

The rules are simple.
——-

Describe briefly the roles played by the same actor or actress in at least two movies.

——-

You can go higher than two but that might make it easier to figure out.

——-

Players don’t need to wait until a correct answer is given and anybody could post a new question at any time.

——-

Which means tagging the questioner’s name or a player’s name is a MUST EACH TIME you make a guess or if questioner and player really need to discuss things —- like the clues for example.

———-

Questioners must acknowledge the first player who got the answer right. To indicate clearly that a question had finally gotten the right answer.

I’ll start. Guess which actor was in these two movies!

In one movie played a monk and in another movie he played a bandit who robbed people and one of his friends happened to be a holy man.

Do they have to be mainstream movies?

Jeruba's avatar

@mazingerz88, I think that would be Sean Connery.

If some other actor met the same criteria, would a correct guess count even if it wasn’t the same person the asker had in mind? Lots of people have played Robin Hood, for example, and one of them might also have portrayed a monk in another film.

In one movie he plays a young boy who is home alone.
And in another movie he plays a boy who is a bit older who is home alone.
Hint: he has a difficult to pronounce name!

@Jeruba It has to be the performer the questioner has in mind. The player could request the questioner for more clues. Thanks for playing. And sorry, Sean C. isn’t the actor I have in mind. : )

@rebbel That question is too difficult.

If it’s not Sean Connery, then it could be Christian Slater.

mazingerz88's avatar

@Kropotkin is that your final answer? : )

mazingerz88's avatar

^^ Winner! : )

What is interesting is I just realized ( I could be wrong though ) Sean who was with Slater in The Name of the Rose was probably also in Costner’s Robin Hood movie and he played King Richard.

@mazingerz88 Not to mention Sean C played Robin Hood in Robin And Marion.

Oh wow. Yes!

She played a prostitute who gave coded information to an incarcerated mafia boss, and a blind woman assaulted by drug pushers.

New question. Actor. Two films.

Ih the first film, he played a security guard in a place that most people wouldn’t want to visit.

In the second film, he played a writer who got hired only because another writer was found dead.

You guys are good.

You forgot to say if we’re allowed to Google or not….

Jeruba's avatar

Wait. So I gave a correct answer (without the help of Google: The Name of the Rose and Robin and Marian), but you were thinking of someone else, so my answer is wrong?

It’s a mind-reading game, then. Not for me, thanks.

mazingerz88's avatar

^^There’s no limit to guesses. You have advantage since you made the right connection to get to the exact answer first.

@rebbel

Macaulay Culkin in Home Alone and Home Alone 2: Lost in New York?

rebbel's avatar

@Brian1946 Spot on!
Wow, how you ever found out, I will not know, but congrats!

Dutchess_III's avatar

Isn’t it just pronounced “Mah-call-ee”?

Brian1946's avatar

That’s my understanding. I find the spelling of his first name to be the most challenging.

Brian1946's avatar

@rebbel

Thanks!

I found out in 1990, when every other commercial on TV was for Home Alone, and every other entertainment piece featured L’il Mac. ;-p

Dutchess_III's avatar

The spelling is a challenge but not the pronunciation. Unless I’m pronouncing it wrong.
