Do you have disco light recommendations?

I’m going to have a party and considering a disco light. It will be on a desk not hanging from the ceiling. When I google I don’t see any information on what size room the particular light is good for.

I will have an electrical outlet I can use. Battery is fine too. I also have a portable battery to recharge my phone, so that’s USB ready.

I’m hoping for answers that are based on experience, not just a google search, although links are appreciated.

My advice: Don’t do it! I borrowed one for my 11th or 12th birthday party, and it was not nearly as cool as I’d hoped, lol.

Maybe get a smart bulb (or several of them), that can change color and pulse in time to music?

I wouldn’t risk strobe lights.

I was thinking maybe just color lights, or using string lights as decoration.
