What does it mean if a butterfly lands on your finger and it feels like they’re biting you in a dream?

Asked by Earthexplorer (7points) January 11th, 2019

I had a dream last night where a giant big yellow butterfly was in my living room and it flew directly at me and landing on my finger. At first after it landed on me it felt like it was squeezing my finger, but after a while it felt like it was biting me. In my dream I flicked the butterfly off and it’s wings came off. What does this all mean?

It doesn’t really mean anything, it was a dream. Much of dreaming is essentially defragging your consciousness, and sampling fragments as your brain cleans things up.

It took a number of disparate thoughts and made up a story/narrative. That is all.

But now you can use it to develop a screenplay or a novel!

Not a thing. Dreams do not have any meaning. People dream about millions of things that happen in our daily lives, and millions of other random things that we might know/hear about, that are not in our lives.

You are concerned about a deal or relationship which seems like a sweet deal turning out bad for you.

Feelings in dreams are the most important part, the characters and things in your dreams are there only to evoke the emotions that those things do, not to represent themselves.
@Patty_Melt is probably on the mark that something going on in your life seemed like a sweet little thing and it bit you.

You are worried about something or someone important to you, probably someone. And that good kind person or event or deal is not 100% trustworthy. Your subconscious is trying to warn you.

According to www.dreammoods.com
Butterfly

To see a butterfly in your dream signifies longevity, creativity, romance, joy and spirituality. You may be experiencing a new way of thinking. Or you are undergoing some sort of transformation. Alternatively, a butterfly refers to your need to settle down. You are lacking focus in your life. You tend to be flighty and jump from one thing to another. Also consider the term “social butterfly” to describe someone who is popular and outgoing. Perhaps you need to be more outgoing.

To see two butterflies in your dream represent romance and a long and happy marriage. If you see several butterflies in your dream, then it symbolizes acceptance, growth, inspiration, and freeness.

To catch or kill a butterfly suggests that you are being too superficial. Alternatively, the dream refers to your possessive nature. To see a dead butterfly in your dream refers to your unrealized goals.

To dream that you are mounting a butterfly on frame symbolizes sexual oppression.

Dream analysis is much like fortune cookies: its a fun thing to think about and to give hope.
Its just a pastime that supplies a bit of whimsy in our day. Have fun with it.
