Can websites create accounts using someones email without them visiting the sites and providing their information?

Can spam or viruses randomly do that all on its own?or would someone have to visit the site and provide their email ect.?

I think that is what cookies on websites are for..tracking and eventually tracing your emial and other things.

When it comes to things like this, I err on the side of paranoia. I don’t use the “autofill” option because it stores my name, address & phone number to be captured by others!!! When in doubt, I leave it out!!!
