And the winner for best picture…. Bohemian Rhapsody! IMHO.

^^ I’d go for Blackkklansman for Best Pic if it’s up to me but Bohemian is my favorite film in the bunch. Roma would get it.

I know the contenders for Best Picture and there is one movie that shouldn’t be there imo. The Oscars just sucks these days.

I think my take on this question is not “does anyone know who the contenders are?” but rather “does anyone care who the contenders are?” The Oscars, the Grammys, all those entertainment awards are nothing more than fluff anymore.

Rami Malek’s performance as Freddie Mercury is top dollar & while I loved the film, its been dubbed “the best worst movie” you will see & so is highly unlikely to bag best picture.
Olivia Colman is nailed on for best actress in The Favourite, thoroughly deserved too, she is a delight.

I saw the Favourite over the weekend, liked it more than I did Roma, although Roma was very good.

Saw Bohemian Rhapsody yesterday. Take away the music and it is a terrible movie, poorly acted and as a bio pic wildly inaccurate.

A Star is Born was great, too, but I have a hard time with the fourth version of a story being considered Best Picture.

Well, I was right. Roma just won Best Pic. :)

At this point, Roma just won for best key grip.~
