Does the fear of blood create fear for the flesh?

I think the fear of pain is greater.

From a guy who watches the blood bag fill when donating blood I fear the point where the dental drill strikes that sensitive spot more. The fear of pain is indeed greater.

@stanleybmanly: I was asking, for example, that if the sight of blood terrifies you, you avoid phisical contact.

I don’t see how a fear of the sight of blood would lead to having a fear of physical contact? The two things are not related.

Obviously human bodies contain blood, but touching human beings doesn’t cause bood to appear, unless one is being assaulted.

Perhaps he means an aversion to dealing with “mopping up” bloody puddles. Blood phobias are fairly common.
