Is anyone here also a Reddit member?

I hear so much about it so I’m going to check it out. I haven’t made an account yet.

What do you think about Reddit?

I’ve been on it since 2006, but my interests/subreddits change over time.

What does that mean?
I’ve been looking around there. Does the site have some sort of specific purpose?

You can think of a subreddit as a community or interest. For example, if you’re interested in something like meditation, you can subscribe to r/meditation. But there are (possibly) millions of subreddits. So whatever you are interested in, it’s likely there.

That way, you can either head over to a specific subreddit for help/discussion or you can hit your curated home page, which has posts from the subreddits you subscribe to. It’s really much larger than it looks at first glance.

I think I joined it about seven years ago but I never got into it. I found it confusing and overwhelming, the few times I took a look at it.

I joined Reddit last year, so far I really like it. I subscribe to drawing Reddits, where we can get constructive criticism of our art work

@hmmmmmm is correct. Reddit is a just a tool to find a community of interest. Each subreddit is moderated—some have very specific rules, and others are more free flowing. I am mostly a consumer and not a contributor, though, and I use reddit to gather information about very specific things. For example, I am running a speficic D&D game and there is a subreddit devoted to that. The original source material isn’t very well written and there have people with way too much time on their hands who have digested it and made it better. So I use that.
