Starship Troopers (so funny)
The Color Purple (my cry movie)
Jane Eyre (original)
A River Runs Through It
Wolf of Wall Street
Dances With Wolves (esp my husband)

Caravanfan's avatar

@KNOWITALL You’re a Starship Troopers fan?? Would you like to know more?

(The sequels, on the other hand, were absolute crap)

KNOWITALL's avatar

@Caravanfan Yes, my husband teases me about it, I have always loved that cheesy movie-the first one. And I adore Neil Patrick Harris.

Dizzy: My mother always told me that violence doesn’t solve anything.

Jean Rasczak: Really? I wonder what the city founders of Hiroshima would have to say about that.

[to Carmen]Jean Rasczak: You.

Carmen: They wouldn’t say anything. Hiroshima was destroyed.

Jean Rasczak: Correct. Violence has resolved more conflicts than anything else. The contrary opinion that violence doesn’t solve anything is merely wishful thinking at its worst.

All the Harry Potter movies. I never watch just one. Each time I bought a next one, I would not watch it until I have watched the others first. Also, after Deathly Hallows 2, I like to go back to Sorcerer’s Stone, because it is funny to gradually watch them grow, then jump back to when they were eleven.
I will never be able to watch Harry collect Professor Snape’s tears without bawling aloud.
(love always, Mr. Rickman)

Hang Em High
Willy Wonka also the remake
Dances With Wolves
Little Big Man
My Fair Lady
The Ghost And Mrs Muir
Ten Things I Hate About You

Hmm, I thought I didn’t like romance stories, but look at that list.

I have watched the Potter movies many times over, and only just realized the last time that they were not about Voldemort, not even about Harry Potter. Those were just characters incidental to the story. It is really about Snape’s love for Lilly, and how it would not fade until the moment of Severus’ death. Through each movie, when it appeared he was staring at Harry in disdain, he was really looking at “her eyes” and feeling love’s pain anew. Even as he died, he needed Harry to know. He gave up his memories so Harry would know he had to die, but deep down he knew Harry had already figured that out. It was the truth of his secret relationship to Harry that he was really giving.
