Did you know there is a way to flag questions even if you're on your phone?

Asked by Dutchess_III (46811points) June 20th, 2019

I soon learned there wasn’t a “flag” option when I perused Fluther on my phone. One day though, on a hunch, I switched it from “mobile” to “desktop,” and viola! The flag option was available. I don’t stay in desk top mode, though. Too clunky.

I figured out some time back that everything is available in the laptop mode, if you can read the teeny print. The problem (as you must know already) is that expanding the print to legibility eliminates most of the rest of the screen. Awkward!

It does but I can also expand the screen so I can read it. Then it goes back to small. So, overall, I still prefer “mobile” mode on my phone.

Non techno person here. How do you switch to desktop version when you are on a phone? And how do you then switch back to phone view?

Scroll to the bottom of the page. There should be something like Mobile / Desktop down there.

^^ Thank you! I guess I never noticed that before : )

Well, I didn’t know it either till someone told me. :D

How odd. It never occurred to me since I’m so inept with the phone that any of you were unaware of the mobile/desktop icon.

@stanleybmanly I think it’s just because I am only focusing on the Qs and As and not looking at the surrounding graphics, or scrolling to the bottom.

On Facebook, I don’t really notice the ads that seem to drive everyone else insane. I’m only focusing on the posts.

So that’s good in some ways, and inconvenient in other ways.

I was on my phone a bit ago and had 230 “activity for you.” >_<. However, it didn’t give me the option to “mark all as read”....until I switched it to desktop mode.

@stanleybmanly And you didn’t know either until someone told you or you accidentally discovered it.

Yes I accidentally hit the desktop icon (I think) and couldn’t understand what had “gone wrong”. I recognized the computer format and was shocked to see that everything was there in teeny little script.
