The ice boats can go up to 120 miles an hour.

Whatever conditions, the car, and your balls will allow.

Lakes don’t freeze here, so I guess I’ll NEVER know; however, I do like @kritiper‘s answer!!!

Generally there is none unless someone says there is.

Uphill or downhill?

Without special equipment, I doubt that a car could travel all that fast, assuming that you start from rest. The car would immediately start skidding. It may also start spinning. I don’t know if there is any way to get out of a spin while trying to accelerate.

If you go onto the lake traveling at high speed, you could slide on the ice at close to the initial speed for a good distance.

Saw a show where some men were going 55 mph on a frozen lake as if drag racing!
Problem then becomes being able to stop on ice!

Based on @Inspired_2write ‘s answer, I did a Web search on ice drag racing and found this site The article says that cars can go as fast as about 60 mph.
