Of course they would continue to support him.

“If proven to be true” is the operative.

This is the network which is busily saying that Trump said or did something which Joe Biden actually brags about—and also reports that Joe Biden did nothing wrong.

I have never heard Trump support Russian interference in our politics. Except for his desire to include them in the G7/G8 conference, Trump has been pretty hard on Russia and countries that support Russia. Remember, the only real Russian disinformation that was foisted on the American people to steal an election and interfere with American politics, was the dossier itself. All other “evidences” are the document (dossier) itself and the reporting of the dossier leaked to the media.

They’ve got their “only Trump” blinders on so they can’t see anything else…

KNOWITALL's avatar

No, many believe forgiveness is a good thing haha!

elbanditoroso's avatar

Trump voters would eat his shit if he told them to.

But the more important thing is that it is not up to Trump to forgive Russia.

Democracy and elections do not belong to Trump, they belong to all of us. All Americans, not just republicans.

It is all Americans who have been cheated. Trump’s forgiveness – well, he doesn’t speak for me. He can’t, because I was the person who was wronged, and I don’t buy any reason to forgive brother Putin.

So get serious here, what Trump says – means nothing.

Side note: Remember when republicans used to dislike Russia, instead of kissing their asses like Trump does today?

SQUEEKY2's avatar

Trump can do no wrong in the eyes of his devoted sheep, cuddling up to Putin, sleeping with Porn stars haven’t deterred them, one thing he said he could walk out in the street and shoot someone and not lose any of his base, that I do believe him.

stanleybmanly's avatar

Sadly, it doesn’t matter how deplorable or scandalous It becomes. His supporters are like fleas on a hog rolling in shit. He’s THEIR hog and they’re sticking with stinky to the end.

elbanditoroso's avatar

@stanleybmanly – remember that a lot of hogs end up being slaughtered…

stanleybmanly's avatar

And the fleas will claim it the treacherous work of liberal perfidy.

As with all of these bogus claims…it is put out as a supposition with no backing of facts and then treated like it is fact. Here’s the deal…if Trump had a conversation with the Russians, that is really his job. It is not the job of the WaPo, the NYT, MSNBC, CNN or even Congress to dictate what he can and cannot say. He has publicly denounced Russian interference in the election many times. None of those detractors have ever given him an ounce of credit for it. All they can do is create innuendo and unfounded allegation against him. I would find it hard to believe he congratulated them or even forgave them for interfering. And at this point, I see him as far more credible than most of the liberal outlets or most of the Dems in congress. So if there was evidence of him forgiving Russia for their interference, I would want to see what the evidence actually was. As with this current fiasco of the whistleblower, it is often made up. The whistleblower complaint was that Trump pressured the Ukrainian president to start an investigation into his political rival. The transcript of that call showed that to be false. The whistleblower complaint admitted that he didn’t have first hand knowledge of most of the events. He admitted that he wasn’t sure the information was real. The left wants to treat it as gospel instead of the sketchy claim it really is. So to suppose Trump forgave Russia is, to me, just more unverified allegation and innuendo. If he said something to them about the topic, I would want to see what it was. If he said something like “that is in the past, but don’t dare do it again”, I wouldn’t necessarily see that as a bad thing. I certainly wouldn’t call that forgiving either.

stanleybmanly's avatar

And yet his own intelligence services regarded the matter as a serious possibility of criminal involvement, until it reached his appointed henchmen at the top who swiftly buried it in ultra secret servers. It’s all moot now. The impeachment investigation is now underway, and as with Mueller, the bodies are bound to accumulate regarding those to be sacrificed in defending the scumbag.

flutherother's avatar

One of the interesting things I heard the Acting Director of National Intelligence say to Congress the other day was that he considers the number one danger facing the United States today is not some kinetic attack from Russia or North Korea but threats to the integrity of the election system.

seawulf575's avatar

@flutherother that is probably true. And it could be from internal or external sources.

stanleybmanly's avatar

Speaking of which, which source are you?

elbanditoroso's avatar

i don’t get why @seawulf575 uncritically accepts very word that comes from Trump.

There’s evidence of Trumpian malfeasance going back 3–4 years (before election), and continuing to today. Not from one source, but from dozens.

To accept @seawulf575 ‘s views, one would have to believe that there is a massive, well-planned, well-orchestrated conspiracy that has been framing Trump (and anticipating every world event) for the last 10–12 years. And that vast conspiracy has been so effective (and so secure) that not one word has been breathed about it. (except, of course, Fox News).

Or one can accept facts.

seawulf575's avatar

@elbanditoroso or, as is the case, there is a very strong and concerted effort to rewrite everything. Take a look at how it works. Look at what Adam Schiff just did in an official public hearing. He “read” the transcript of the phone call and actually rewrote it as he spoke. He did this to try making the claim of Trump using pressure sound realistic. Look at how the NYT or WaPo or CNN or MSNBC or ABC or really any of the liberal outlets cherry pick stories, slant them, refuse to report on the negatives of the Democrats, and so create a narrative that tries to make it look like Republicans and especially Trump are evil. And each of those outlets has had to post retraction and correction after retraction and correction when they are called on it. You can try ignoring it, but you are fooling only yourself. Nothing else explains the lies and vitriol that comes out of the left. Again…the challenge is out there. Pick a scandal and I can pretty much guarantee I will trace it back to the source and show where the left rewrote thing or tried creating a narrative to bash Trump. Muslim Ban…that was the term the left created to make it look like Trump was banning all Muslims. The FACT was that he banned people coming to this country from a select number of countries, most but not all of which were Muslim majority nations, until those wishing to come here could be properly verified and vetted. And it wasn’t even a majority of the Muslim majority nations. It was a few. So it wasn’t a Muslim ban…it was a effort to challenge against terrorism that the left wanted to rewrite. The comment about all Mexicans being rapists and criminals. The left made that claim. The actual comment was that when Mexico wants to send people to this country, they don’t want to send their best…they want to send the ones they have problems with. They are sending the rapists and criminals, the drug dealers. That is not the same as “All Mexicans are rapists and criminals”. But when the left rewrites it, that is the talking point for the left. The list goes on and on. So yes…it is a massive and well-orchestrated conspiracy…one that can only work with a complicit media…much like the liberal outlets we have in this country.

Where do you buy your rose coloured conservative glasses?
Trump sleeps with a porn star, you shrug it off eh whatever he had to get his rocks off and his wife wasn’t putting out.
In todays world you have to admit climate change is a very real item, totally deregulates emission standards for new vehicles, and totally ignore that as well, more money in corporate hands who needs clean air.
He starts a needless trade war hurting a lot of countries including the states ,you shrug and think the states have been getting screwed by these countries for a long time they had it coming.
He has racked up a ton of debt for your country including a 10 billion bail out for farmers his tariffs screwed, the last guy spends a dime and you scream the sky is falling, you just blame those entitlement programs social security, medicare, and medicaid why the country is so far in debt. do I have to keep going?

YARNLADY's avatar

Po’ li’l ol’ Trumpster doesn’t know the difference between liddle’ and li’l. and thinks an apostrophe is a hyphen. How can anyone expect him to have any grasp of political concepts.

mazingerz88's avatar

It’s also total BS the claim that the Washington Post refuses to report on the negatives of the Dems. I read that paper EVERYDAY. Slant? The only slant you are capable of seeing is one that’s legitimately critical of the orange turd. If it’s slanted, people with enough brains know it’s slanted but that doesn’t mean it’s fake. People with brains can tell the difference. Maybe you think most Americans are that stupid.

@seawulf575 Your bitterness is quite understandable. It’s not everyday that you can you find the right racist, narcissistic and shameless thug to vote for as your so called president. Don’t worry someone else will come along. trump’s base has a lot of potential human turd candidates though they may not come in orange.

seawulf575's avatar

Isn’t it funny that I made factual statements and I got responses from three jellies that didn’t even attempt to address the facts, but instead made personal attacks on me? Sorry folks, that says more about you than it does me. As Jack Nicholson once said: “You can’t HANDLE the truth!”

mazingerz88's avatar

Did you order Code Red?!

stanleybmanly's avatar

Of course you hold the franchise on the truth. How careless of the rest of us to forget. Perhaps it is just that there are just too many “facts” for a sane man to digest. Facts like the Washington Post, CNN, ABC, NYT, etc. —all liberal outlets, spreading slanted innuendos. Perhaps it’s just tough to soak up your “fact” that Trump is more trustworthy and factual than the news outlets if record. Or maybe its just that it is OUR eyes and ears which are defective. As for liberals spreading hate and vitriol, perhaps you should have picked a topic other than the fool’s Muslim ban to to illustrate liberal treachery. After all, it wasn’t liberals, but a FEDERAL JUDGE that whacked the fool with the revelation that a Muslim ban was EXACTLY what the fool tried to float, and that it was BLATANTLY UNCONSTITUTIONAL. But of course the judge is corrupt and in league with the press, the democratic party, etc.—another one of your “facts”. Here’s a fact for you to consider regarding the next time you choose whine about your suffering of abuse at our hands: “We don’t do guilt” And we particularly don’t do guilt for a puffed up self righteous windbag blowing transparently shoddy winds of disinformation up our collective asses. Go home to your masters and report NO SALE!

ragingloli's avatar

Yeah, please do compare yourself to the villain in that story.
At least that part you got right.

seawulf575's avatar

And still…none of you can actually address the facts. You want to dance around them and attack me, but actually addressing them? Nah….that would poke huge holes in your narratives.

mazingerz88's avatar

Give it up. Just save your passion for Pence.

stanleybmanly's avatar

There’s that reading comprehension thing AGAIN. There’s a whole paragraph above addressing your “facts”. Go ahead, and deny it.

seawulf575's avatar

@stanleybmanly Deny it? Okay. So in your diatribe you are denying the facts I wrote about the Muslim Ban? If so, where and what did I get wrong? You are denying that Adam Schiff actually rewrote the phone transcript to create an entirely incorrect narrative? If so, where what did I get wrong? You are denying that Trump did not say that all Mexicans are rapists and criminals? If so, where and what did I get wrong? Tell you what, skippy, when you can actually produce a single citation to back up your idiotic diatribes, you might have a leg to stand on. Otherwise you are just hot air.

kritiper's avatar

Whose facts??

SQUEEKY2's avatar

I got to hand it to you ,you must really make your Conservative corporate masters very proud.
You are ignoring our facts as well, you skip over the deregulation of emission standards on new vehicles.
Or the fact he has no morals ,sleeping with a porn star while his wife was pregnant with his child.
Or the fact he had no trouble screwing trades men, and labourers in his private life, now he is the man for the people?
Why do you keep trying to convert us to Republicans, you have as much chance as we do converting you to a Liberal?
I have an idea for you when posting your wall of text fright wing facts, why not post a left wing source of the same point, that might show you at least are showing us both sides, but you are never going to do that are you??
And again as a Canadian getting in this fight his idiotic tariffs are really hurting our forest industry, personally I would like Canada to explore closer trade ties to China and let Trump do his bidding to the states but we are bound to deal with the US before all other countries.

stanleybmanly's avatar

Who’s facts? The Kremlin’s disinformation mills. Have you noticed how their “facts” coincide with wulfie’s? Particularly that one about the Russians really having no effect on the 2016 elections, and its sister “fact” of Putin’s people made no “real” effort to sway the election. Let me ask you, which nation benefits through convincing low information voters that the major news outlets in the country are disseminating fake news. In the face of the fool’s own words and behavior, what rational individual can truthfully swallow the proposition that between the fool and the press, it is the press which consistently lies and makes shit up. Who can sit here round the clock pushing so flagrantly ridiculous an agenda, and then whine like a sissy about the mistreatment inherent in the rain of ridicule falling on his hapless empty head?

seawulf575's avatar

Ahh…so there really isn’t anything solid out there. I specifically named three items and asked specificallyif you denied they happened. Not a one of you, @kritiper, @SQUEEKY2, or @stanleybmanly could even come close to answering that simple question…do you deny these things happened or not? Tells me all I need to know. What is the old saying? Denial is not a river in Egypt?

YARNLADY's avatar

@seawulf575 I have seen news reports showing Trump saying exactly what you claim he never said. I’m not going to the trouble of looking them up, because many other sources have already doe it.

elbanditoroso's avatar

@YARNLADY it wouldn’t matter anyway. Unless your citations were from Fox News or The Blaze, (and even then he might now) – it wouldn’t be believed

seawulf575's avatar

@YARNLADY and that is exactly what I am talking about. There are many “news” reports that claim Trump said all sorts of things. And they repeat it over and over. Yet when you go back to the actual event where Trump supposedly says something, you find it was taken out of context entirely by the “news” agency. Example: Trump said that White Supremacists and Neo-Nazis were very fine people…right? Wrong. He used the phrase “very fine people” in an exchange with a “news” reporter. What he was saying was that there were very fine people on both sides of the political spectrum that had shown up to protest in Charlotesville VA. He then went on to denounce the radicals in the crowd and called out the white supremacists and the Neo-Nazis by name. Several times. But the lefty news tried creating the narrative that he was saying these radical losers were very fine people. Go back and look for the actual exchange. I have cut and pasted it into other threads in the past and really don’t care to do it again. If you really want to see the truth, it’s a pretty simple search. Don’t accept someone summing it up or paraphrasing it. Look for the actual exchange.

YARNLADY's avatar

@seawulf575 No, I’m talking about him, on camera, saying these things.

SQUEEKY2's avatar

@YARNLADY you might as well give up, even if you post think with the video he will just chalk it up to left wing propaganda and it was taken out of context.
If it isn’t a fright wing source he won’t believe it so why bother trying ?
One thing that Trump said that was very true, he could walk out into the street and shoot someone and not lose any of his base, the poster above you shows how true that just is.

YARNLADY's avatar

@SQUEEKY2 Thanks, I hardly ever get involved anyway.

SQUEEKY2's avatar

What gets me even if he is making fun of a handicapped reporter, or committing adultery with a porn star, cuddling up to Putin, his sheep see no wrong and anything said negative about it is just left wing propaganda.
He really can do no wrong in their eyes, so tell everyone you know if you feel what he is doing is wrong then VOTE next year and get this idiot out of office, before he drags the world into a global recession if not WW3.

YARNLADY's avatar

Many T supporters say he isn’t doing/saying anything they wouldn’t say or do, so it can’t be wrong.

SQUEEKY2's avatar

Except they are not the President of one of the most powerful countries on the planet.
They can’t seem to grasp that concept.
