Does it matter that Lindsey Graham was pranked by the Russians?

Asked by LadyMarissa (16086points) October 11th, 2019

Pranked
Lindsey has been spouting off about the current incumbent turning his back on the Kurds. In this pranked phone call Graham thought he was speaking to the Turkish Defense Minister & it sounds like in private that he agrees with trump. I was concerned when he openly turned on his lord & master. Graham’s up for reelection in 2020. How are the voters of SC supposed to know which Graham they’re voting for???

Seems to me Graham is nothing but a sleazy calculating politician these days.

If he was a Democrat I would be more than inclined to denounce him. Also by choosing to change himself into his “Mr. Hyde form” after the death of his close friend John McCain, to me he is simply dishonoring the memory of his friend. A truly deplorable move.

There is no way that is authentic. It isn’t legal to tap anyone’s phone.
Disagreeing on one point does not mean anyone has jumped ship.

Patty, you didn’t read the article did you? Publicly, he loudly disagrees with trump where privately while talking with who he thought was Turkey, he agreed with trump continuing to throw the Kurds under the bus.

No, I didn’t read the link. My phone flashed a security warning and would not allow a connection.

I still say that disagreeing on one point does not equate jumping ship.
I think the whole thing is bullshit. I don’t believe the validity of a supposed phone call made with gotcha intentions.

For Graham, disagreeing on one point is his version of jumping ship. He’s been so far up trump’s butt that he hasn’t seen the light of day in over 3 years. When he first came out blasting trump for turning our backs on our allies, I stopped to reflect what was wrong with this picture. It’s posturing to get himself reelected in 2020 so he can be there to protect trump’s back or attack the other side should they win. Graham has never attacked a Republican since his first day in office.

The link was a politico article which shouldn’t have been blocked by your phone.I have my computer set up with pretty strict security so I don’t post anything that my computer blocks with a security warning because I won’t open it myself.

You can call bull shit anywhere you like, but Graham’s own office admitted that he was caught in the hoax call. After all your military service to our country, are you going to start protecting the Russians as well?

Attacking my service time is getting personal. I think you have crossed the line with that.

I didn’t attack you. I merely pointed out that you are taking the side of a sworn enemy of the country you claim to have defended. Russia has been trying to take us down for over 70 years and you can’t imagine them promoting a hoax to meet that end. I take that as a personal attack on my freedom
