In what form would you prefer Death to come to you when that time comes?

Asked by mazingerz88 (28797points) October 26th, 2019

Say he agrees to come in whatever form you wish. Would you prefer the old skeleton in black robes holding a scythe or something else that might make you less afraid if that’s the case?

This is an easy answer. Both my parents have died. Also a sister I was very close to. I would like one of them to come and get me.

I’d follow my pack of dogs over the bridge, thatd be the perfect escort. I see it as love and energy, not skeletons or fear.

It just needs to show up on this bike, that way I’ll know it’s for real:

^^Wouldn’t mind Death coming for me in the form of Stewie, at his most sarcastic of course. Cool hwhip!

At first I completely misinterpreted this Q. I thought you were asking how in terms of sudden death or a slower way to go. Illness or accident. That sort of thing.

To answer your Q though, I think it would be nice to see my maternal grandma or aunt. I’d want my grandma to be able to introduce me to her father. She missed him her entire life. He died when she was 5.

I think the classic would be cool. At least you’d know who he was and what he was there for.

About 3 weeks before my mom passed, her mom, dad and favorite aunt came to visit with her every day. They had a pleasant chat and I could tell she was very comfortable with what was about to occur. As for me, I’d prefer to go to go to sleep and just not wake up

Sudden cardiac arrest during the night while I’m asleep.

^^Death in the form of Sleep or Dream. It’s real and I’m guessing most people would prefer that.

A condition that is long enough for my family to come to terms with my death. But not too long that it takes a toll on them.

Hopefully one that isn’t too painful. But also not entirely painless and numb. If I’m going to feel nothing for the rest of eternity, I’d like to feel the passing of my own life.
