Would your Fluther personality be recognizable in a face to face conversation?

I think the Jellies who have met me in person would be the best ones to answer about me. I don’t imagine any of them were very surprised by my personality.

I have met @janbb in person. (In penguinitude?) And she’s even cuter than here.

As for me? I don’t know. I am always aware that I only have words on a screen with which to communicate, no body language, very limited inflection, etc. IRL I am way more effusive with gestures and tone.

@canidmajor -I have always wondered if people would speak to each other,choosing the same words that they type here.

I’ve met the two above ^^ in person and they are who I imagined they would be. I had even imagined their accents based on where they are from and they didn’t disappoint.
I met Auggie in person and she was even kinder and funnier than I expected. Maybe being the manager here made her be less of the jokester she really was.

And with maybe two exceptions, I have no interest in meeting any of you in person.

I’ve only met one (janbb) and there were no surprises at all with her personality apart from her sense of humour, which was a bit more pronounced in real life.

@flutherother-I’ve met two. One was more reserved, the other, not so much.

I’ve met Ben, Andrew, Auggie, chyna, canidmajor, marinelife, zenvelo, raum, flutherother, Love_my_doggie, Jeruba, skfinkel….I think that might be it.

And longgone! How could I forget my adopted niece!

I’ve talked to 4 others on the phone.

I’ve only met Dutchess and she was exactly as represented here, which is what I’d expect from a Midwesterner. She was a bit smaller in stature than I expected with her big personality. :)

There are a select few who I would be happy to meet…you know who you are you little tinkers ;-}

Plus the humor makes me think we’d have some laughs. Most people bore me, I like the zany mavericks.

I hope my personality in real life would not differ from what I present here on Fluther.

I have met 2 current jellies and 1 former jelly, and I am Facebook friends with many more. I may be meeting a third in the very near future. I will be meeting one early next year when he’s in the islands.

I met with a jelly last February.

Our perfect conversation was totally innocent and perfect, and we’re both stabel geniuses. ;-p

I don’t know about my personality, but I’d likely be holding a bag of cookies, so…

Few if any jellies would be interested in meeting me.
I’m a penny pinching, unpretentious, tea total-er. I have little patience for crybabies, and I curb my language for only children and a choice few adults. I’ve paid a great deal in blood and sweat over the years, so the only one I really care to make happy now is me.
I’ve met and like one jelly. There’s a couple of others I would like to meet, but it is unlikely I will have the chance.

My books are far more friendly and fun than me. I think a few of you would like some of them.

I’d think that most jellies, could tell it was me, if I changed names….

Only the truly observant would know me FTF.

Going back and reading through old threads. I met two jellies. One was as funny as she was on here (it was the OP). The other, a softer, funny and sensitive tiny faery. :)
