Ahh, now that’s an interesting one.
I would love to climb & swing about in trees as I’m pretty much a frustrated Tarzan/stuntman lol
I was put off though as a kid when my elder brother fell & broke his arm while perched on a branch.

It was a huge pecan tree that was in my Gramp’s back yard & it was probably 60 years ago. We lived with my grandparents & any time that family or visitors were getting on my last nerve, I’d climb up that old pecan tree where I could be ALONE!!!

A year or two ago. We were apple picking.

lucillelucillelucille's avatar

@LadyMarissa -Did you make pies with the pecans?

lucillelucillelucille's avatar

@cookieman -Did you have the basket with you while up there?

Coolhandluke's avatar

2 weeks ago actually. With the family.

lucillelucillelucille's avatar

@Coolhandluke -Was it crowded up there?? XD

LadyMarissa's avatar

@lucillelucillelucille OMG, my Mom & Grams made the BEST pecan pies!!! Picking pecans gave me something to do while sitting up there & I was guaranteed a reward of a delicious pecan pie when I came back down!!! :}

@lucillelucillelucille Haha, you must hear my Tarzan yell sometime, It’s really rather stunning & yes, I practice in front of a mirror!

@lucillelucillelucille: Nah. I climb up and toss the primo apples down to my wife who bags them.

lucillelucillelucille's avatar

@LadyMarissa -I have never had pecan pie before. reminds me of a conversation I just had
@ucme -I think you need to post a video
@cookieman – They are all up near the top, aren’t they? lol

Some years ago, when I tried to escape a bear. Unfortunately, he could climb, too, so I died.

Explains that awful smell ;-}

lucillelucillelucille's avatar

@ragingloli -Thanks for coming back to answer this very important question.

@ucme
No, that smell is because washing my feet is against my religion.
It offends the holy Cheesus.

Too long ago to remember

stanleybmanly's avatar

I did. I can remember swinging from a branch. I even remember sitting in a tree that I had climbed. I don’t have a clue as to what age I was. Maybe 12.

gondwanalon's avatar

I climb my fruit trees each year to prune them.

lucillelucillelucille's avatar

@stanleybmanly :) My husband knocked himself out trying to swing from branch to branch. When he woke up, it was dark out! LOL

@gondwanalon- Nice!

Coolhandluke's avatar

@lucillelucillelucille haha kinda! No, this tree is more like a monument in this historic location. It’s one of them that sprawls across the ground forever. Easy to climb and lots of room.

lucillelucillelucille's avatar

@Coolhandluke -There’s a magnolia tree that I make a point to swing from every time I go down to NC.Nothing like a good tree!

raum's avatar

Last week. Trying to get a better view. What can I say? I’m short. :P

lucillelucillelucille's avatar

@raum – The window was tall??

raum's avatar

Ha! I’m short—but I’m not a peeping Tom!

July 4th. I didn’t have to go very high. A friend of mine was stringing an amateur radio antenna between a couple of pine trees in my yard and it got stuck.

lucillelucillelucille's avatar

@LuckyGuy You’re a good friend.

RabidWolf's avatar

Way back in the ‘80s. I just wanted to see if I still could. It was the tallest tree in my parent’s yard. Back then I was over 200 lbs and I still did it.

lucillelucillelucille's avatar

@RabidWolf -Did anyone see you up there?

RabidWolf's avatar

My older brother.
